Little girls with bare chests

So in the park, DS(5) takes off t shirt. All good. DD(3) also wants to take off t shirt.

I don't think I mind - but I am worried about a park full of people judging me. They have cream on, this is a question of 'should' girls be ok topless in public before puberty??

What do you think? Should I let her take her T shirt off too?

I'm a strident feminist usually but really finding this one difficult.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
WipsGlitter · 06/05/2018 15:38

Yes. She's three.

Aragog · 06/05/2018 15:38

Yes. Her chest at this age is no different to your ds.So I think you either allow it for both or neither.

DailyMailDontStealMyThread · 06/05/2018 15:39

It’s fine, she is a toddler.

Yes - why not? Is her chest any different from ds's?

IfNot · 06/05/2018 15:41

A...strident feminist? Hmm
Gosh. I have never heard anyone refer to themselves as one of those!

EB123 · 06/05/2018 15:41

Why wouldn't you?

SleepingStandingUp · 06/05/2018 15:42

Yes although rightly or wrongly I wouldn't let either run around naked

stiffstink · 06/05/2018 15:42

What is your train of thought about why she at 3 shouldn’t take her tshirt off too?

Is it because in 10-12 years she will have breasts?

FusionChefGeoff · 06/05/2018 15:42

I don't want other people looking at my daughter and feeling that I've made her a target for paedophiles.

I'd never admit this in RL

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 06/05/2018 15:43

What?

AnyFucker · 06/05/2018 15:44

Do paedophiles not target boys then ?

FusionChefGeoff · 06/05/2018 15:44

I know it's bonkers

And I knew the MN verdict would be as you've all said

But I'm still worried about 'The Park' judging me. I know I'm pathetic!

OP posts:
Ginmakesitallok · 06/05/2018 15:44

People wouldn't think that. And if they did.wouldn't they think the same about ds??

SneakyGremlins · 06/05/2018 15:44

This really could not be more of a non-issue OP.

pinkbraces · 06/05/2018 15:45

You seriously have to question whether your 3yr old DD can run around without her t hurt?

After reading on mumsnet some of the questions asked by today’s parents I really feel sorry for so many of this generation DC, they are bring brought up by the brain dead.

TheFaerieQueene · 06/05/2018 15:45

Who cares if an arse judges you? What difference does it make?

FusionChefGeoff · 06/05/2018 15:45

It's that ridiculous societal thing that girls = breasts = sex

Totally wrong, totally regressive and oppressive - and yet strong enough to make me doubt my own instincts

OP posts:
Popadoodledoo · 06/05/2018 15:46

Don't be so ridiculous OP. Of course you're not targeting her for peodaphiles.

FusionChefGeoff · 06/05/2018 15:46

Brain dead!

pinkbraces · 06/05/2018 15:46

Tshirt not t hurt!

FusionChefGeoff · 06/05/2018 15:47

I know I'm not.

I'm worried about being judged by those people that do think that

OP posts:
TooTrueToBeGood · 06/05/2018 15:47

She's 3. Anyone who sees something sexual about a bare chested 3 year old has a serious problem. No matter what you do, someone somewhere will always judge you. Lesrn not to give a fuck aboutbthe irrational opinions of strangers.

FusionChefGeoff · 06/05/2018 15:47

Gosh, here I was thinking I'd be safe in 'Parenting'

My 3 year old ds is running about the garden in just a tshirt. Yesterday the 3 year old dd and ds were out in just their pants.

Their 3...

FusionChefGeoff · 06/05/2018 15:49

Ain't that the truth - definitely need to learn not to give a shit about others opinions. And in the meantime, you can all remind me to stick to my guns!! Smile
