Dd2 is 15 months. She was ebf until I needed to wean her for when I went back to work. Night feeds were the last to go as it was just so convenient. She was 6 months when we switched. She had 2 feeds per night. At 1 I reduced the quantity of milk at each time, it made no difference to her wake ups. We've now switched to water, she drinks 4/5oz at time! Still 1-2, mostly 2 wake ups per night. I'm tired. I'm fed up. I don't know what else to do. I don't want to let her cry it out. Any advice?

Our dd2 didn’t sleep all the way though until 3 1/2 if we’d had our girls the other way round not sure we’d hace had a second one.

Dd1 started sleeping through at 20 months. Dd2 still wakes up most nights at 3. If you don’t want to leave her to cry, you might need to wait and see what you can do to maximise your own sleep in the meantime (co-sleeping, sharing load with partner?)

Depending how she goes to sleep, worth looking at gradual retreat, but clearly I’m in no position to advise about improving sleep!

In short - lots of babies sleep through but 15 months and very many don’t. It’s likely she’ll grow out of it (usually sooner rather than later).

DD didn't stop waking in the night til 2.5. It may not be that you need to do anything, some babies are just bad sleepers I'm afraid. I can't think what we did to minimise waking that actually worked - things like a gro clock and leaving a cup of water in cot/next to bed helped her settle herself back to sleep but that was much later than 15m.

DS was still waking at least once in the night until the Christmas after he started school. We tried everything, none of it worked. My advice is to go with the flow.

Thanks all. It's not much of a surprise really. Dd1 was 2 before she slept through. I was hoping for a miracle cure!

My just over 2 yr old still wakes once (on a good night). I had high hopes for the groclock but he just merrily presses the buttons until the sun appears before coming through to us. I must say though what was once about 30mins of resettling is often now only 5 so overall we are getting more sleep.
