Hi all

We're stuck in the house now and then (too sleep deprived to drive haha)... aside from the obvious go out for a walk... what else do you do with your 7mo?
DD has oodles of toys and apparatus to play with her and loads of stimulation (we have been spoiled!) but wondered if there's something I hadn't thought of and also looking for success stories on what you've taught them through play?
e.g. Read a MNer always said right arm first and left the left arm till last for dressing...

I put DS on kitchen floor with a bowl/ spoon etc/ cardboard box. That usually keeps him occupied a LONG time.

Peekaboo with a muslin

A balloon

A plastic bottle filled with rice for shaking

Treasure basket

All still enjoyed at 10 mo

Have a look at the 'Montessori at home' stuff online- loads of good ideas that will help you get the best out of what you already have.

I know it’s not an activity as such but have you tried baby signing? My DS took to it really well.

If you’ve got tonnes of toys out, I’d pack some away. Mine seem to play much better if they only had 2 or 3 out. I’d change them for other toys when they had their afternoon nap.

Things like edible paints are good. There are recipes on the Internet. There’ll also be recipes for play doh.

Now it’s warmer bubbles are good outside and a beach ball is good fun to play with too.

Agree with looking up Montessori activities too Smile

Are you doing anything to help the sleep too OP? Sleep deprivation is awful isn’t it?
