Don't know what to do

DD is 6 months tomorrow and everyday is a battle to get milk down her, I've tried it warm/cold and as soon as the teats in her mouth she screams, she's been FF from being a week old and has gone from having 5 8oz bottles to barely 2 and half bottles. I spend all day trying to get her to drink.

She's just spent an hour screaming I've winded her, changed nappy, cuddles calpol and teething gel. Tried milk and still wouldn't stop. I've just had to mix her milk with some weetabix to get something down her.

Spoke to a health visitor yesterday who said when she starts on solids she will gradually drop milk. I just don't know what to do anymore

Does she have a sore throat? Is she teething? 2 8oz bottles is 480 mls. That plus 3 meals a day should be enough?
Is she losing weight?

I only started her on solids about 4 days ago due to her refusing milk so she has something in her. Is it ok for me to jump straight in with 3 meals a day?

She's definitely teething they are just taking ages to cut through, 5 week ago she weighed 15lb 11 yesterday she weighed 16lb4.

Get the GP to check out her mouth and throat. The first outbreak of cold sore herpesvirus is sores that are agony Sad

If she's never been keen on milk perhaps she is intolerant to it and it makes her feel unwell?

I've got an appointment on Tuesday with nurse practitioner at doctors because she's got terrible dry skin on her legs and I think it may be eczema.

Random she's always loved her milk used to get excited at the sight of her bottle and kick her legs but now she's doing this when she sees her bowl and spoon. I have got a different type of bottle in the cupboard so it's in the sterilisater I'm going to try her next bottle with that in some desperate hope that she suddenly doesn't like her usual teat

@ew1990
We just had the same problem with my granddaughter. Turns out she had a virus and a very sore throat. Add to that teething and we had one very unsettled baby with refusal to take the bottle. Hope you get your little one sorted. It’s always so upsetting when we can’t work out what’s wrong with them X

He said she's got a white coating on her tongue but he's not sure if it's milk from this morning or thrush so he's treated her for thrush - so hopefully she will get better soon. Thanks for all your advice
