Cows milk allergy?

Hi anyone got any experience of babies with a cows milk allergy?
My now 6 month old was exclusively breastfed. Since introducing formula 3 weeks ago, her cheeks are quite red (comes and goes). Dr thinks it may be excema and I'm wondering if it's due to the introduction of formula. She is having about 3 dirty nappies a day whereas was only having about one dirty nappy previously. Started her on solids at same time as formula.
Dr has ruled out teething and a viral infection.

It’s hard to tell with solids happening at the same time. Did she ever have a reaction when you ate dairy?

Could be a mild allergy. If that's the extent of it, then the up to date advice is too keep it in baby's diet. Sounds pretty mild though. You could try switching to a soy formula for a couple of weeks; if things improve then you'll know (but if you keep dairy out of the diet, the risk is the allergy will get far worse). Having said that, lots of dairy allergic kids are soy allergic too.

Hi no she didn't have any reaction I was aware of when I was eating dairy.
My nephew (now 11) has dairy and soya allergy so I agree re your point that need to be careful with soya too.
I think I may need to ask for some allergy testing at next dr visit.

Allergy testing sounds like a good idea OP. Does she ever have mucus in her poos?
