Silent Night Poos and Nappy Rash - advice

Now I suspect I am missing something obvious here in my first time mum naivety...advice greatly appreciated. DS is 15 months and has worn bamboozles for most of his life, had never had nappy rash.

However...he has started to do poos during the night. Silent poos. Poos that we cannot detect. He makes no sound, sleeps 7-7, and seems to happily lie in it till the morning. By which time his poor bum is bright red and sore.

Any suggestions? Any barrier creams that might do the trick? Should we be waking him up and checking his nappy?

We've recently had this. I used Bepanthen on ds2's rash and it cleared it up really well until he stopped doing this.

Do not fear, Bloss..I too have been known to use GF methods

Yes, thinking about it, I think the problem might be that I've got into the habit of giving him fruit with his supper. He does love it so much! He usually has a yoghurt after his lunch and fruit after supper so I'll swap them around for a few days and see if that helps. Will get that cream too.
