Baby proofing house

Hi all, I have a ten month old and it's time to baby proof the house. We already have the stair gates up, can anyone advise what else we might need and where the best place is to buy them? Can you get things for cupboards which are not visible on the outside?

Socket covers were the only thing we got. Didn't bother with cupboard catches, I just made sure nothing in lower cupboards was harmful. Endless hours of fun can be had taking messy tupperware out of cupboards, sorting it out, and putting it back in. Socks and pants also a favourite..... or perhaps that's just my weird OCD kids !!

Following as we're nearly at that stage. But I know that socket covers aren't recommended anymore so I'd probably leave those.

We did socket covers and a stair gate and a bit of pipe insulation on the corners of the dining room table but that was it. I just told him not to touch other things. Luckily he's never been the sort of child who will empty cupboards and ceral boxes all over the floor!

Fire hearth? If so foam the edges or fire guard around the lot

Coffee table, I'd put in the loft for a while, they seem to attract heads/eyes when dc falls over. Plus you can't leave a drink on it if it's not there.

Cupboard door locks, magnetic ones are good. On all cupboards you don't want them in or have bleach or glass jars. Got mine from amazon.

Medicine cabinet, put everything in. I don't even have any paracetamol in my bag now because ds loves to play empty it

Have somewhere to put your keys high up otherwise you'll be late for everything as you'll be checking all the toys. Ditto with your wedding ring if you take it off, do not leave it on the edge of the dinning room table dh I'm looking at you
