My 3 year old hates swimming.

How can I help her love it or at least be able to tolerate it?

She starts reception in September and they swim from then at school!

Take her to a smaller quiet pool? Is it the noise, or the water or what? My DS was afraid of water spraying in his face (including scared of the shower) and it took a few goes of me and DH standing under things and showing him that it’s not scary

She isn't scared of the water in the bath or the shower, she never cries when I wash her hair and water goes on her face etc.

She really struggled to cope with the noise plus the smell and the humidity in the changing room too.

We went to lanzorote last year and by the end of the week she was sitting on the steps in the very shallow water.

I have asked her over the last few days if she wants to go swimming and she keeps saying no I don't like it.

My older daughter Is 7 and loves it.
