maiden name /married name

i am a british citizen living in spain and my husband is spanish.i was married in england and i have my husbands surname now after 38 years living in spain, i have problems with the social security here in spain because my maiden name and marital name are not the same.any idea what steps should i take on the gov uk page for the certificate to say we are both the same person thankyou

You should be able to get a note put in the back page of your passport. I had it for my first passport after marrying as I also took my husband's name (married in UK) but live in a country where women use their maiden names for civil purposes. I'd contact your local consulate or the passport office. Mine said something like "The holder's maiden name is xxx" and was printed on the "observations" page.
