I've invited a few babies from a group we go to over to play and have cake for my son's first birthday. It is going to be a couple of days before the actual date if that makes any difference at all.
What is the done thing, do I let him open presents as they arrive and are given to him or do I keep them for him to open later or on his birthday?
When do I get the cake out? As soon as everyone is here or later on after they have done a bit of playing?
Clueless here, never been to a first birthday before.
