Is it normal?

Just a concerned first time mama asking if it’s normal..
background;
LO is 5 weeks, generally she’s a really good baby cannot fault her but here’s my issue,
She hates having her nappy changed.
She hates getting dressed.
She hates the bath/washing.
She will scream and scream, it’s a horrible scream and it breaks my heart, I often resorted to trying to change her bum when she’s in a deep sleep but sometimes she’ll ‘jump’ and scare herself then scream even more, any advice on how I can make any of these things easier for me and my little bubby? Thank you🤦🏽‍♀️

Yep normal. She hate leaving the cosy warm environment and getting cold. It will get better. Make sure the bath is warm enough and she is properly covered by the water. Use warm water for nappy changes at home.

Yes - it's often the changes in temperature.
Try having the 'new' clothes to be worn on the radiator for a bit.
What are you changing her on - if it's just a plain plastic mat, put a towel on top.
warm, cosy towel wrapped round as soon as she is out of the bath, into warm clothes.
It does get better toddlers love escaping and running around naked

Bath temperature is something I always keep an eye on n preheating the bathroom before a bath. I change her on a fabric changing mat with a blanket on I think she generally hates being naked🤦🏽‍♀️

I always found it ironic how as wee tinys, mine hated being naked. And yet at about 3 they would think nothing of stripping off randomly, especially in the supermarket. Swings and roundabouts eh?

Thanks ladies. I can’t wait until she grows out of it. Her little cry is horrible to listen too:(

My baby was the same in the bath. We wet a large Muslin and draped it over her whilst bathing and she was fine.
