Travel cots

Is it Ok to use them all the time? I ask because my LO seems to really like sleeping in one when we go away. She moves around alot in her sleep and likes throwing herself around the cot so the soft sides mean she doesn't bang her head.

Our travel cot has an extra padded mattress so seems quite comfy.

Think it is OK to use them full time?

I can't see it would be a prob - if the matress is nice and padded etc. In the old days, they used to put babies in chest drawers (obv not closed!!!) if they were too poor to have a cot! Not that I'm suggesting that at all but you know what I mean!!

We used to use ours for ds1's naps until he was about 1 because dp used his bedroom as a study during the day for the 1st year. he doesn't seem to have suffered any ill effects!

We use ours as a playpen for ds and its up in the living room, he naps in his all the time, and i would let him sleep overnight in it if he needed to. I cant see any difference between sleeping in that and his proper cot really.
