Best buggy from 3 months, suitable for holidays

We will be going abroad when our soon to be born baby will be 3 months old and I'm not keen to risk taking our travel system as its brand new and I can't see the airline treating it well. Also the carrycot doesn't pack down very small at all.

So I'm looking for a buggy which will be suitable for this and future trips (the ideal would be one to last for a good few years!). Does anyone have any suggestions? We're looking now so I can start trying to find a good second hand deal. The ideal would be easy to fold down, OK on various terrain (cobbles ETC), suitable for a 3 month old and not too heavy. Oh and ideally not a small fortune!

We just bought a Chicco London I think it was called from mothercare for £70in the sale. Bought for days out and our holiday when DS will be 4 months old. Really easy to push and lightweight. Folds easily and a lot smaller than our travel system which like you we didn’t trust the airline to not ruin it. Seat fully reclines so it’s okay from birth and DS seems to really like being in it! I think it might be worth you going to try some out even if you want to get it second hand as some of them do not feel as nice to push as others so might be trial and error!

The petit star fully reclines and does everything you want it to.
