Gripe water

Hi I am just looking for advise on the best ways to give gripe water? My baby is bottle fed and I tried it in her bottle but didn't find it worked as well than giving her it through a syringe orally but she chokes on it so don't want to do that anymore. Is there anything that worked for anyone?

Are you aiming the syringe into her cheek rather than the back of her mouth?

You could try a dropper, it is easier to drop it in slowly so less likely to choke. Or just on a measuring spoon. My baby took it easily enough that way, it's such a small dose.

5ml is not an insignificant amount to give to a baby.

Try again with syringe

Keep going with the syringe. Put it in her cheek and do it slowly only a tiny bit at a time, a few drops.

I have the same problem. He seemed to enjoy taking it at first but now hates it and has learned to spit it out. I still use a syringe and have tried straight into his cheeks but it doesn’t always work. He normally ends up coughing and spluttering aswell but I can’t think how else he would take it!
