1 year old has a really thick toenail

It's a lot thicker than the rest, humped on top. Would you take her to the doctors? I kind of assumed it would grow out but it's been like this for ages (months) now, or is it just a thing that some people have??

My daughter has had a similar thing, odd shaped nail and thick but at nearly three it’s just starting to grow out!

My 2.8 year old has had it from birth. Just the one on her little toe. I spoke to a podiatrist about it (happened to meet one in a baby group), and she said not to worry about it, I could still clip it and file it down if necessary. I think it is just one of those things and I think my Mum has toe nails like this too.
