Starting potty training again today. Bought musical potty, not going down well! Help!

My dd is now 2 1/2 We tried potty training a couple of months ago but it just didnt work. So today, we are starting again. She can tell us straight away when she has 'done' something in her nappie. She knows the difference between 'wee wee' and 'poo poo' and if she isnt wearing a nappie and wants to poo she will ask for a nappie, if she wants to wee she will just do it on the floor, laugh her head off and then stamp in it!!
So yesterday, i bought a musical potty (FP royal potty) and its quite cool. Makes a noise when she sits on it and makes another noise if anything goes in the potty. We have said, do you want a wee wee etc... and she says yes but wont sit on it. Not interested in it at all apart from when we got it home set it up she was really excited, 5 minutes later onto something new.

Please help, I so desperatly want her out of nappies but she is not liking the potty idea. Oh and tried sitting her on toilet but she is only interested in turning round and pulling the chain! Any ideas, tricks or anything will be very much appreciated!

Thankyou

Sit her on the toilet instead (with one of those insert seats if necessary)

The novelty of the chain will wear off.

Toilet does sound a lot easier, especially when we go out etc....
She saw her friend (same age) we in a toilet, she got on after and just pulled the chain. Maybe I should just persist with it then. Less cleaning for me to do! So sounds very appealing!!

You need Cod with her potty training boot camp. She takes no fuss and silly stuff!

Is your DD in knickers? It took both DSs about 2 weeks to get the hang of it.

She wears pull ups. But wears knickers when in the house. She has done lots of wees in her new potty today! I couldnt believe it! I wanted to throw a party!!!!

Yeah, I think so. There is always some kind of thread on here about potty training.
