I can't stop thinking about that beautiful little girl and her poor family ......

Me too. Makes me feel sick at the thought of what may have happened to her. My little dd is 3 and I keep thinking how terrified she'd be if she was separated or taken away from me. Doesn't bear thinking about.

I pray that she'll be found safe, unharmed and untouched but according to a clinical psycologist the statistics say that a child will be dead within 24hrs in cases such as these.

Please god, if there is a god - and you have to wonder when things like this happen, let the darling little girl be safe.
When the evil people responsible are found I hope the authorities deal with them in the harshest manner - lock them up, castrate them if they are Peado's, and throw away the key.

My father was a police officer, my brother is a police officer & SIL is in the child protection division of the police and I have heard some terrible, terrible accounts of what can happen to children.

I just don't understand why there are such evil people in this world

Happy Bithday sweet girl!!!!! We are thinking about you.

tillyboo- hideous isn't it? The not knowing must be torture . If they find her alive what hell has she been through? Ugh. Poor poor little thing.

I can't watch News 24 anymore. I never cry at the news, but I have twice today. It is desperate, absolutely desperate.

cruisemum1 · 12/05/2007 19:39

I agree. It is on my mind all the time. Whatever the outcome, I hope they find her. Evil bastards, evil evil bastards.

agree with everyone else, and so nice to see a thread like this after some of the horrible comments that were posted in the chat forum today. lets all hope that this nightmare ends soon and that little girl will be home with mummy and daddy.

bellsy · 12/05/2007 21:47

Its my little girl's birthday today too, and I have spent a lot of the day in tears I can't even begin to imagine what her parents are going through, we just pray that whatever has happened to her that she's not suffering or in pain.

LucyJones · 12/05/2007 21:48

xxxx

cruisemum1 · 12/05/2007 22:00

bellsy - sadly, she is probably both if she is still alive . Happy birthday to your little girl .
lovemybed - I dont visit the chat forum. Sounds like I should be glad of that.
Actually, I am surprised at how few mums have visited this thread. I feel so troubled by this event that I had to acknowledge her somehow.

I think it is because there have been so many contentious threads people are scared to post

quietmouse · 12/05/2007 22:03

cruisemum - there is already a birthday wishes thread for Madeleine under 'in the news' which is probably why this thread hasn't had much response....

cruisemum1 · 12/05/2007 22:05

quietmouse - i didn't realise that. I'm glad she is being acknowledged. Bless her beautiful innocent heart. Off to bed now...
