Hi
My dd is 6 weeks old and had been awake through the night 3-4 hours for a feed...I'm formula feeding.
Last night I put her down at 10 after a 5oz feed and she woke up at 4.30 for another 5oz feed and has been asleep ever since???
Now I'm worried she's sleeping too much ?? I was poking her at 6am

Is this post even for real? “My baby is sleeping well, help!”

She’s not going to starve. She’s a baby, she needs a lot of sleep.

I'm a first time mum so I was just after some reassurance not criticism!

As a mum of a bf baby who slept for no more than an hour at a time till 5 months, yeah it does come across as a bit smug!

She’s fine, make sure she has enough feeds in the day. Babies will wake up if they’re hungry!

Hi,
I had to mix feed my baby as I couldn’t get him to put on weight with just breastfeeding. He was so sleepy I had to set an alarm to wake him every 3 hours for the first 6 weeks! I didn’t even know that was a thing people did. Once he’d regained birth weight and was putting on weight well, my Midwife said to stop waking him and just enjoy any extra sleep he gave us. So, if your LOs weight gain is fine, I wouldn’t worry.
My son is now 5 months and wakes up loads at night. So my only other advice would be don’t get complacent!
