Hi, my just turned one year old isn’t a great sleeper. He won’t go to sleep unless he is held to sleep. We then put him in his cot and if we’re lucky he sleeps til 3, whenever he wakes up he’s so distesssed and get himself into a right state until we pick him up and bring him in our bed. I can’t bear leaving him to cry and he just doesn’t settle himself. Most morning we are up at half 4/5. Can anybody offer some advice/technics to try.

We used the No Cry Sleep Solution with our DS and it did help, can’t guarante that you will suddenly get LO to sleep through every night though Smile

It has a section on tackling early risers too.

In my experience, waking at 3am is pretty normal at this age. Could he be hungry or cold though?

In all honestly I think his problem is his cot he wants to be held and in our bed. I’m not sure how to break this though

Can’t help much with that one I’m afraid as at that age I just let mine sleep with us. I think the NCSS does have some good tips though Smile
