Best babygrows for long babys?

Twitchett22 · 06/04/2018 20:32

DD was born at over 9lb so she's always been in the up to 1month babygrows. But she is so long! Also her feet are pretty big so at 3 weeks she's already outgrowing the 1mth babygrows in the length but not elsewhere. 0-3 months bury her and are really gapey around her neck.
Has anyone found any babygrows that seem to suit longer babys and have a bit more room in the feet?

NOT Tesco

Long babies with big feet here too. Mine went straight into 0-3 months. But in general I found John Lewis and Sainsbury’s to be very generous for length and feet

PrincessConsuelaBannanaHammock · 06/04/2018 21:36

did all your babies get their length measured at birth? Mw told me they don't do it anymore and hv has never checked it so i dont actually know how long she is

Yeah DD was measured at birth, hv also measured her at her 1 week, 6 week and 16 week visits.

Although we have measured her with the measuring tape in the house too 😂 makes it easier to buy clothes if we know what length she is!

The children's heights werd marked on the kitchen door in our old house. I this house the previous owner's dc were on the airing cupboard door. We and they took pbotos.

Definitely Sainsburys

Sammilouwho · 06/04/2018 21:56

Definitely Sainsbury’s! Our little one is on the 90th percentile at the moment for height and these fit pretty perfectly

My baby is the same was well over 9lb when born and he's long. Sainsburys and next I find are good

Agree with footless! We also started using leg warmers at home - baby is in a top and nappy. Makes nappy changes much quicker and easier!

My LO was 9lb4 and very long, I bought some Tesco babygrows (the ones where you buy like 3 in a pack) and they have been really long. It’s a shame but avoid any Disney or “branded” stuff from the supermarkets as they are always smaller.

I have a long baby! He has super long legs and I find Sainsbury's and Asda the best for baby clothes :) really good value too

57 cm at birth. Baby in up to one month for ten days and far too tight- been in 3-6 months since six weeks. I like next and mothercare. But realistically of course baby grows will be big all over. Why would companies cater for the exception to the rule?

Just fold the arms up a bit- they soon grow into them and then they're too tight again so in clothes that are too big again. No big deal. I don't like the suits without the feet. Loving the sleepsuits.
