i am new to mn (thanks to gina ford for the free advertising) and hope that someone can give me some advice.
We are a british/german family living in germany. our daughter is 5 and will start school next year (german school). she is already asking me to teach her to read but i am unsure how to do this.
If i teach her in english, will that cause problems when she goes to school? and if i teach her using german phonetics, can she then read english text?
