Car seats for babies

Not sure if this is the correct place to post but I have noticed my 8 month old daughters head dropping forward in her maxi cosi pebble car seat, it just worries me Incase of an accident/her getting a sore neck, I think it's only started as she's got bigger...

Is this normal? Have I set the car seat wrong? And if it's normal is there anything to help stop it?

Thanks x

Have you looked at the manual? Is there an insert that needs to come out?

Find the Facebook page "carseat advice for mummies and daddies" you can post there and get advice from experts.

In a healthy child over 6mo this isn't harmful. However, you can look into whether your seats are sloped and whether a wedge would increase the seat recline to help.

Like a PP says look on Facebook for the group "Car Seat Advice UK". They have some general posts about head loll and can also give you specific advice if you post your car and seat combination.

If you are using an isofix base, you may get a better fit using just the seat belt and no base. Isofix is quite rigid so no flexibility to allow for any slope in the seats so she could be too upright and her head goes forward.

But as the PP said, it's not dangerous after 6 months.

And definitely look up the Facebook group 'car seat advice uk'.
