I have a Nanny share system and I need to find out how many days our kids will be all day with the nanny and how many they will be at school.

190 school days, plus 5 inset days.

That's Cumbria btw, I don't know whether Counties differ or not.

wills, what LEA are you? Its website will have school holiday dates. They can differ quite widely.

Average year is 39 weeks with 1 inset day nearly every halfterm - roisin's 5 sounds about right. But those can be anywhere, they're chosen by school, so you need the LEA's holiday dates and then the school's chosen inset days. (And some LEAs give schools further flexibility, eg in Cheshire they can take 2 weeks at Spring Bank and break up for the summer a week later.)

39 weeks and 5 INSET days are standard. Although if a shcool has some issues that need dealing with urgently the LEA can add an extra one - we had one last year after school went into serious weaknesses. INSET dates and holiday dates for the coming year are normally published on the LEAs or school's websites by now.
