Yep... 9months old & now crawling & pulling up on furniture. It's literally been two days & my heart has fallen out my a** a few times already!! Can't leave her alone for 1 minute! How long did it take for your l/o to find there balance a little more if you remember? Did you find a play pen necessary in the mean time? (& I thought having a baby was hard when she was still, ha!)

My Ds just turned one and he falls over and bashes his head multiple times a day. I know some kids are walking properly by now but he's massive and not the sprightliest thing, god love him. He walks about holding the walls or furniture but just let's go and falls over half the time. My older son was the same and didn't walk until 18 months so we had this for ages - you do get used to it but just keep an eye out near the stairs. Ds can't walk but can practically sprint up the stairs!

Never had a playpen for either child btw, I'm not keen on them.

Mine 9 month old has been crawling and cruising on furniture for a good 2 months now........she’s currently sporting two massive bumps on her forehead from today and a fading bruise from yesterday! Sorry for the bad news Grin

@mistermagpie thanks for the advice! I'm not keen on the idea of a play pen either, feel like I'm restricting her from exploring but family members are saying it's a must!

@twinklestars she just seems so small to be falling over!! I guess they're more resilient then we give them credit for! Bring on the bumps 😩

I could have written this OP! I have a travel cot that we use as a play pen but he stands up in that too and topples over. He pulls himself up in furniture at every opportunity. I try to hold back and let him explore but when I do he is guaranteed to fall and knock his head every time - breaks my heart! I don't think he is learning from falling either!
