confession time - anyone else like me and just can't be arsed doing the dry nights thing?

i think my 3.4yr old might be ready to dump the nappies at nightime. She's dry overnight 9 times out of 10 and has woken up a few times early morning to 'go for a wee' BUT i just can't be arsed to start trying.

We've got a 4mth old baby too who has just started sleeping for reasonable amount of hours and we are soooo enjoying our 8hrs sleep a night that i can't face starting the broken nights again changing wet beds!! ARGH!!

Am I a terrible mother?

No, not a terrible mother. I wait until they insist they can do it, then buy in a job lot of pampers bed mats. DD did it much earlier than the boys, at about 3, so it might be worth a go, if your DD is happy to.

She might surpise you my dd pull ups were wet at night. But about a month ago said she didnt want to wear one at night so we gave her a try she was wet the first night but not since. We still lift her before we go to bed and leave a potty by the bed and leave a night light on. She gets up herself and does a wee if she needs to then goes back to bed.
