then she cries
and i have to throw her pants out

I hate scraping poo out of the potty.

My dd2 pooed in a toy potty the other day - a toy potty that's only 4cm wide!

My dd1 was using the toilet until DD2 decided she was potty trained - now both of them use the potty and it's horrible!

Same problem here - i just find it hard to find the energy and enthusiasm for potty training this time. Dd2 can do it, but she chooses to pee on my shoes.

nailpolish · 09/05/2007 12:53

i sit her on the toilet and tell her "squeeze! push! like you did when you had a nappy on!"
but she refuses
then she gets off toilet and 2 minutes later
"i need poo!"
and its on her pants

i HATE pottys

Well I buy them anyway for ds2 and always some on bogof too. I use them for convenience too tbh.

nailpolish · 09/05/2007 15:12

they are convenient jodie i agree
not very good for tackling germs though...?

Never had any problems regarding germs. I'm not into all the anti bac stuff as I think it helps breed more harmful germs.

nailpolish · 09/05/2007 15:21

no id ont use anti bac either

JodieG1 · 09/05/2007 15:23

I do ensure it's all clean though

I wouldn't put bleach on it personally. If they poo in pants I just chuck them, they don't cost much.

nailpolish · 09/05/2007 15:58

i usually chuck out the pants too
i buy cheap ones - asda have a pack of 7 for £2

mellowma there is no need for anti bac or bleach - soap and water is sufficient (my best mate is a nurse specialist in this area )
