Ive heard this before. & that ugly babies are good looking adults. Any truth behind it so you think??!

I was the sweetest baby and am also a very good looking adult.

But jokes aside,Ost babies go through phases of being super cute, then a little less cute as they grow into a new shape, then cute again. So it's impossible to generalise surely?

I don't know, but I have three dc and the one who was the ugliest FLK until 2 is morphing into a beautiful animal with enviable hair and is bizarrely already popular with boys although only 8. So maybe there's truth in it....

Mmmm, I just met a woman at the gym & she is lovely looking so is her husband but her young daughter was ugly not as cute as expected. But I'm thinking she will grow into a lovely looking adult because her parents are v attractive people!! So I thought maybe there is some truth to it! But yeah massive generalisation off of one example here HmmGrin

I kind of get it, in that features attractive in a child (chubby cheeks, big eyes) aren’t necessarily attractive in adults.

One of my sons was like a chicken as a baby - scrawny, plus a big head with no hair.

He has blossomed into a beauty - green eyes, he’s filled out but still slim, and has a smile that crinkles up his eyes and melts hearts. Luckily he’s kind and good natured too because I suspect he will be a good looking adult.

A lot of features that are striking in adults look funny on kids so I think there is an element of truth in it.

It's impossible to generalise. I've seen ugly babies grow up both beautiful and ugly and vice versa. I think most children go through best and worst looking phases - some are beautiful as 3-4yo but then go gawky looking at 8-9, some are gorgeous as young teenagers, others struggle with spots and teeth braces and so on as young teenagers.

I have also seen late bloomers where the kid is averagely attractive throughout childhood and teenage years and then absolutely blossoms at 19-20. Fills out, or gets cheekbones or something but finally gets that head-turning look (both boys and girls).

Often the late bloomers bloom the longest. That's just my personal opinion too. But the ones who are gorgeous at 19-20 are set to be gorgeous for a long time, if not for life - maybe because the more adult/mature features (less facial fat, cheekbones, jawline) suit their particular facial shape and features the best.
