i've been thinking of a few things that i want to remember for next dc. anyone got any more?

if baby/toddler doesn't like getting face washed, get a flannel with a character on (we have peppa pig) and make it give them a kiss! then scrub quickly Grin

keep dribble bibs for flannels and reusable face cloths

make up a box with nappies/wipes/creams in and have one in the bedroom, living room & baby's room. water bottle and snacks are good to add too if you are going to be stuck under a feeding baby for a while!

trying to think of more...

I would say there are a few things - I always got my DD to do things herself if she objected to me - ie this isn't an option either I do it or you do - do you want me to show you how?

Water and face thing - I made sure to go swimming when 6 mths and have a shower after which stopped the whole face and water protestations.

Despite trying not to give her my food "things" she is a bit fussy - still not as fussy as me which I count as a win - she will also ask to try stuff and has great going out manners and always had - I never allowed her to get off her seat when small and if she did we left - only needed to do that once.

Follow through when you say if x then y do it - no matter how inconvenient otherwise they don't think you mean it.

I always let her pack her own bag for things then check - haven't really needed to check since she was about 8 (time away etc.) She only forgot knickers once!!

Try and do messy stuff somewhere other than home so you don't have to clean up

Sit at the table to eat
