Tips for traveling with a 3 month old

We’re not going far or anywhere hot but will be going on a week long trip with our little one when he’s 3 months, involving a short plane journey, a hire car and some hotel stays. Does anyone have great tips or things I can’t forget to pack? Smile

I would take your own car seat as quality of rental seats can be variable.

Take spare clothes for you in hand luggage in case you are thrown up on!

Find out if you can take the pushchair to the plane door and then have stowed.

Most airlines will allow those flying with young children on first.

Take enough nappies for first day then buy locally.

We used baby sleeping bags so took those too - plus a fitted cot sheet to put over the hotel sheet!

Take overnight stuff for you all in your hand luggage in case you get delayed. Nappies, clothes, formula cartons if your son is bottle fed.

Definitely your own car seat. A sling is wonderful for airports, much easier than using a pram as I'm guessing the little one will still be in a pram rather than a fold down buggy.

Milton cold water steriliser tablets and just ask for a large wine cooler at the hotel.
