4.5 month old only naps in pram

My little boy is 4.5 months old. He has a nap of about 30 mins in the morning and 2 hours over lunchtime, sometimes a quick power nap at around 4.30 too if he needs it.

I can only get him to take his lunchtime nap in the pram however. I don’t necessarily need to take him out in it, but he just seems to like it in there! I have tried him in his cot at lunchtime but he wakes after about 30 mins and then struggles to go off to sleep again.

I’m not sure what to do. He’ll soon be outgrowing the pram in its current formation (with the flat carrycot bit) and I’m worried he won’t nap at all when he does!

Any advice/similar experiences would be massively appreciated!

My child was like this. She now at nearly 2 only naps in her bed. I would not stress about it.

This is good to hear as I'm in exactly the same position (same age too!)

I feel like I really cracked it with the pram, thought I'd bury my head in the sand about changing from carrycot to pram and just enjoy the next month or so!

Sounds like he naps well... at that age my baby was sleeping 45 mins at a time, one at 9am, 12am and 3... and would only nap in the pram/ car so I was out walking three times a day! They do eventually grow out of it I think and your probably in the middle of the 4 month sleep regression so I wouldn’t worry...

There’s still plenty of times she won’t sleep (now 10 months) so I take her out in the pram... she still falls asleep in it and it’s not the carry cot so don’t worry about that :)

My baby naps better in her pram since we switched from carry cot so it's not necessarily an issue.

My 20 month old still naps in the pram. If I put her in the cot she'll only sleep for 40 minutes. In the buggy she sleeps for 2 hours! Not the end of the world!
