Toddler shoes - Clark’s or just anywhere?

Hi all,
My little boy is 2yrs old. He needs new shoes (he threw his shoes out of the buggy yesterday and I didn’t notice until we got home) . Are Clarks shoes better ? Or should I just get him measured at Clarks and get him supermarket shoes?

The Happy Little Soles website has great shoes for little feet.

Supermarket shoes (and Next) tend to be quite hard for little feet. I second Teaandbiscuits but take him to Clarks to get him measured x

Clark's measure feet to fit their own brand of shoes. My ds wears Clark's school shoes but in other brands he can be a bigger size and many styles don't fit at all due to width.

I was always happy with Clark's shoes when he was little but a friend with a dd who has special insoles said the doctor recommended her shoes from shoe zone in their 'walk right' range. Can't say fairer than that for affordability eh?

I've always been very happy with Clarks shoes. They've had a couple of pairs of Geox trainers from a local independent shoe shop and they were ok but more expensive.

Start rite are great. They have very good sales and an outlet online store. Measuring guides on their website, but basically they measure half a size smaller than other shops (so e.g. 6 at Clark's is 5.5 at Start rite).

We've had Clarks' and start rite and I prefer the start rite ones - they have more flexible soles. DS has been in shoes for 2 years, but I still feel the flexible soles are better for him.
