Should I take DS swimming?

DS is 11 months and managed to contract conjunctivitis during the two hours he was in nursery for a settling session last Thursday (a sign of things to come I guess). He's has been prescribed eyedrops and has finished the course. His eyes are much brighter, but in the mornings there has been a small amount of 'gunk'. This does not happen during the day. Is it still okay to take him for a swimming lesson this afternoon or would I be risking the other babies in the pool? I'm not sure if he is still contagious or not. Thanks for experiences/advice.

If he has an eye infection I’m not sure the best thing to do is go swimming..
