using size 2 as BTP

i'm thinking of giving these nappies a try as BTP

fluffle nippa size 2
bamboozles poppers size 2
bambineos poppers size 2 (I have already bought these)

i'd be using them on my 4 month old daughter and 2 yr old son. I want to know if you think i will find them bulky on my 4 month old? She is average build and weighs 13lb. Am i better off buying the size 1's?

4 month old will be fine for any bamboo - fluffles are bulky anyway.

horsemadgal · 07/05/2007 20:10

My son grew out of size 2 Tots before he was 2, so they might not do your 2 year old.
Bambineos should be ok on him though if they are same as the wambamboo.

Oh good point yes - bambineo much bigger size range

I have nippa bambineos and wambamboos and I am using them on my 4 month old dd who is about 12lbs and have been since she was about 8lbs.

I also use them on my 36lbs 21 month old ds and there is still room for him to grow into them as the tabs and the rise are so long. I am sure they will last him to potty training.

I fold the front down for dd and they are quite bulky but much .slimmer than some size 1 tots bots I tried on her.

I would def recomend the bambenios nippas but not sure about the poppers as I have not tried them. Think I read that you could still nippa them when they are smaller then use the poppers when you dont have to fold the front down any more.

Flamesparrow · 07/05/2007 20:32

Yup - not actually tried it, but have done it with other popper nappies so it stands to reason that you can, the poppers can't be that close together.

I have had my dd in size 2 popper bamboozles since she was about ten pounds, they were a wee bit bulky at first, but fine now she is a bit bigger (12 pounds). Am glad I didnt bother getting size 1, you can do the poppers on a size 2 up really tightly.

Have used a fluffles size 2 on DS2 when he was 6 weeks (11lb 6oz) and found it fine, however it had been used by DD prior to that so washed a lot and I do feel that Fluffles loose some of their bulkiness over time. The other two will be fine on her though

Thanks for the replies girls

I ended up ordering a size 2 bamboozle to try on both of them and some nappi nippas for my bambineos.

I decided aganist the size 2 fluffle and ordered it in a size 1 instead - I really prefer bamboo nappies but need something quick drying and thought fluffle would be the best??

Yes - my bamboozles do take a long time to dry, have heard fluffles are quicker.

Flamesparrow · 07/05/2007 21:46

Yes, fluffles definately the best for fast drying.
