2 year old bedtime!

Need advice on what to do my son is coming up to 2 and out of no where he's refusing point blank to go to sleep!, hes been screaming the house down at night, last night he went from 12:30 to 5 this morning we tried everything put him in our room, took him down stairs to see if that was what was wrong,
took him for a walk, bathed him, gave him so toast and a warm drink we've even tried to cut naps out for him but nothing seems to be working we moved his room around last night to see if that was the problem but it didn't help.....any advice on what to do? feel like sucha shite mum :(

Quite honestly all that can be done is what you have done and just leaving him to scream it out. AS long as it's a safe space then just put a gate up and let him roar.

We were lucky our wee one slept since 6 weeks but now she has the odd night of going to Bed at 8 and being still awake around 2am. We change her bum and sheets if needed then leave and she plays happily.

It’ll be nothing that you are doing so don’t beat yourself up about it. Are his back teeth coming through? They tend to appear between 2 and 2.5 and can disturb sleep.

Other than that I’d try the No Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers and Pre-schoolers. Your local library might have a copy

gryffen- can't let him cry it out as our neighbours keep complaining to our landlord :( not sure if we can't even be evicted for that? :s the slightest noise we make they complain X

everyonetalkaboutpopmusic- never thought about it being his back teeth we did have the dentist the other week and he said they were coming through, we've never had trouble with his teeth before he was really good with them.. , will check the library for the book, thank you x

If his teeth are coming through I’d definitely try him with a dose of Ibruprofen if he wakes tonight.

Other things to try are a big bowl of Oatibix before bed and making sure the room is warm enough
