im about to move my youngest daughter into a bed and she has to share the same room as her 3year old sister who is potty trained. But during the night, i leave a potty in her room for when she needs a wee. im worried that when i put my youngest into a bed she will get up and pour the wee or poo everywhere! i don't really have the time to train my oldest to go to the toilet during the night as my youngest desperately needs to get into a bed, her cot is falling to peices where she is too big for it and her sister climbs in with her! also i close their bedroom door at night otherwise my oldest would never sleep, she would forever be in and out throughtout the whole flat! i dont know what to do, any one have any ideas?!

i think you are just going to have to teach her to use the toilet. you will have to do it at some point anyway.

i completely bypassed potties (cannot stand them and never ever used them)
and its not as difficult as you might expect
good luck

you can teach her to go to the toilet even after the wee one is in the bedroom too

thats waht i would do anyway

i mean - even after the wee one is in a proper bed too

well, i can say that although my fears about my youngest spilling wee everywhere no longer need be as she hasnt touched it, my oldest still goes in her potty during the night. i now have another problem - getting them to sleep!! i used to put them to bed at 6 but have now changed it to about 7 half 7 due to the fact they werent sleeping from 6 and because my youngest doesnt have a cot anymore they both fight and mess the room up until 9pm or later and they jus wont settle dwn!1

would it be that difficult to get her to use the toilet. if you get her a step so she can easily reach it it would be just the same as using the potty. wouldn't she have used toilets anyway when out?

she uses the toilet during the day, but at night i close her bedroom door as im afraid she wil ransack the whole house and not even wake me! she has let herself out of her bedroom in the mornings and not woken me untill i feel her climb on me to get something shes not supposed to have from my room!

if she can open the door anyway then maybe its time to let her use the toilet at night too? it seems if she can open it anyway if she wants to ransack the house she will!
