Colief Drops

DS is nearly 5 weeks old and from around 2-3 weeks old was very unsettled during the evenings from 4-5pm feed until he fed again at 9-10pm. We started on infacol and initially saw good results however last weekend he cried all evening and was a much more painful cry than before And this was the case for both Sunday and Monday evening so started to use colief drops on Tuesday. He’s now had 3 full days of using these and he is now ten times worse. Very restless and unsettled all day and will only sleep for longer than 20mins if we’re out in his car seat or at nighttime. He seems to wake himself up in pain and I feel it’s his tummy troubling him. He passes wind constantly and very very smelly since the colief. He only poo’s every 2-3 days which he has done since day 5 and always been loose which has always concerned me as this is when he normally gets himself into such a state! But all my concerns are being dismissed by health professionals. I am going to stop using the colief now and see if this helps but just wondered if anyone else had experience of using these drops and had similar problems? I’d much rather go back to having the odd evening with a few hours crying than all day!

We use the drops on our 6 week old daughter. We feed 50% Aptimal anti reflux and 50% apt hungry milk. All with the drops. So loads of farts, and about 2 smelly poos a day which are pretty epic. But it's improving her colicky crying which used to happen at 7pm for 2 hours but has reduced to nothing. She's a little more awake by day now as a result of more sleep but I will take that. We tried Gripe and Infacol but that didn't work so the drops seems to be doing the trick.
