Depression

My DS is 15, going on 16, and has finally admitted to us that he's depressed. He's been avoiding school since Sept and finally stopped going at Xmas. We just don't know how to help him. CAMHS have not been much use as DS was not really honest with them about his very low mood. He's very embarrassed about it and feels it's a weakness. He doesn't sleep well at night, but equally does not get up until about 3pm, despite all our efforts. Which cannot include chucking water over him, as one unhelpful person suggested! He can get quite nasty if annoyed ! He is seeing a counsellor, who comes to the house. We cannot encourage him to do anything at all, and he hasn't left the house for nearly two weeks now! We've tried hypnotherapy, but he didn't want to go last week, and I only have his word that he's doing it at night! I did start listening to the sessions with him, and will probably have to start doing that again. Any advice, please?!
