Just that really - I have a nine year old girl whose body is rapidly changing and I now need to do "the talk!

Does anyone have any book recommendations? It would be nice for her to be able to digest the facts
Thanks

What's Happening To Me? Usborne - easy to read and not too long. I read it myself first and then looked at it with my daughter.

9 is getting on a bit!

I recently bought Let's Talk about the Birds and Bees which served as the basis of several lengthy talks with DD (6). It is written in a style to encourage discussion. DS(9) joined in too, although he already knew quite a bit from previous talks and Where Willy Went. I started talk to him about sex etc when he was 6 too.

I got "The Care and Keeping of You" for DD at a similar age. It dealt with the body changes (as well as other things like looking after your teeth, eating healthily etc), without getting into reproduction etc.

DD goes back to it every now and then to remind herself of bits.

There's the Dr Embarrassing Bodies one.

Bought it for DS.

May still have it knocking about. If you're in England I could post it to you?
