Anti reflux milk and ranitidine

Hello all!
Eventually been prescribed ranitidine for my 7week old today. He told me to carry on with the gaviscon as well but stop the colief.
He then suggested using an anti reflux milk for a few days before starting the ranitidine and see how we get on. I know already that I can’t use gaviscon with that.
Anyway, my question is, can Hipp anti reflux and ranitidine be used together? If I find the anti reflux milk doesn’t work, do I use ranitidine with it as well or do I got back to normal Hipp and use the ranitidine? I’ve read some info saying that anti reflux milk and antacids can’t be used together but then I’ve read other info saying that it can be used together.
It’s always the way isn’t it, think of questions once I’m home that I should have asked the gp!

My DD is on anti reflux C&G and ranitidine. Not sure if it’s one or the other, or the combo that works, but it’s taken so long to sort that I darent change anything now!

I would try the anti reflux milk first for a few days, as that would have immeadiate effects. If it doesn’t work then add ranitidine as well. If that works then trial without anti reflux milk. If that makes sense

I used ranitidine and aptamil anti reflux as my son had severe reflux. No problems with it x

Fab thank you! I’ll gonget some hipp anti reflux, try him on that for a couple of days then introduce the ranitidine if need be. So confusing all these different medications and what can and can’t be used together!
