It is DD second birthday soon. Relatives will be asking for present suggestions and I have a few ideas (wooden dinosaurs, colouring books and a balance bike). Is there anything you clever people can suggest please.

If anyone is near an IKEA, they do some brilliant stuff. Off the top of my head:

Pop-up play tent
huge roll of colouring paper
paints
Wooden train set
Wooden crane with magnetic blocks
Wooden play kitchen.

Oh, and felt finger puppets and a push-along cart thingy to put all their treasures in.

Can you tell I go to IKEA a lot? Grin

I love ikea. She is a very lucky girl (youngest cousin) and has most of these. I am sure my Mum has a train set at her house.

My son liked the Melissa and Doug latches board, magnetic fishing games, scooter, play doh, paints, dressing up outfits, play food and those Campbell busy books

I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old. The toy kitchen is the only thing they both play with every day.

They also love stickle bricks and Duplo. Dd loves those books that have stickers you can re position, ones from her favorite films. Minions etc.

Not helpful but they both liked the wooden toys Lidl had in at Xmas. One is like a Nespresso machine and she loves it!

I do tend to get them clothes and shoes for birthdays though. I am not keen on designer gear as a rule but there is a premium brand I'm fond of and I buy something in the sale for her and put it away for her birthday.
