Morning all!
I’ve posted on here already regarding sons reflux, we are off to the doctors today about it again as the gaviscon and colief previously prescribed twice doesn’t seem to be doing much.
Anyway, I’ve already asked the midwife a few times about his red eyelids and was told that it’s normal, baby is getting used to the outside world. He’s now seven weeks old and I’ve just had a lightbulb moment..his eyelids seem to go red and his lower lids a little puffy when I’m feeding him. Also he sounds snotty/nose bunged but he’s always been like that but again that’s been put down to being new, this is mainly after a feed too. He’s a very sicky baby too.
I mentioned cows milk allergy to my midwife and the doctor when I first went and was told it’s reflux as milk allergies are extremely rare.
Anyway, could these be symptoms of an allergy? I’m a FTM and am obviously learning! I get told so much conflicting information by ‘professionals’ it’s difficult to process everything and know what’s the correct thing to do.
Obviously I’ll tell the doctor his symptoms today but I just wanted some advice from everyone here please Smile

After a feed he’s very grunty, like he’s trying to clear his throat. Squirms round as well. I’ve got a video of this to show to the doctor.

Feeding him now, upper lids also gone puffy/swollen, not just the lower lids
