Are all potties created equal

I am about to buy my baby girl a potty. Are they all the same? If not, which ones do you recommend?

All advice gratefully received!

no they are not all the same - my friend bought one in John lewis and it was too small and her ds was petite for his age!!! Personally I just stuck them straight on the toilet as cleaning out potties is worse than nappy washing!

I used the same 99p Morrisons one for DS1 and DS2 (although DS1 went to toilet quite quickly as he didn't really like the potty much and he was late 'getting' it). Both my DS's are big for their age - and I'll be using the same one for DS3 when he arrives and is old enough.

I'm intrigued by this - we bought a potty seat thing thinking that was bigger - now think itsa actually the ame size! my ds1 is over due for potty training but wont sit on the potty we bought cause he's huge for his age and his little willy gets trapped on the front of the potty!! Wont sit on the toilet either! i'm interested if you get some other posts that know of big potties!
