Newborn squeaking and congested

Hi there.

My LO is 16 days old and has had a lot of congestion over the last few days. Before bed tonight we gave him saline drops which seemed to help a little. But as I wake here with him in his moses basket I keep hearing him "squeak" every now and then. Just worried that he is struggling to breathe properly. Should you worry about congestion or do they cope with the mucus in their passages?!

Carry him around for a bit on your shoulder so he is upright and mucus can more easily clear and see if it clears

A warning sign for breathing difficulties is if they make 'grunting ' noise with each breath
