baby feed wheel

can people not just remember the time they last gave lo a feed, or write it down. i must say it is annoying when other people look after ds and they can't tell me what time he ate or had medicine but i doubt they'd remember to put it on the wheel thing either. lmao.

I think theyre great, when dd was tiny, my brain was a muddled mash of all kinds of baby related stuff and I could never remember when her last feed was!

CuriousSquid · 04/05/2007 16:45

CuriousSquid · 04/05/2007 16:49

I wrote it on a piece of paper for my 1st baby when I was doing as instructed (feed every 3-4hours no more, no less ) For my other babies I fed on demand so didn't need to know when I'd last fed. If they cried they got offered a feed, whether the last one was hours or minutes ago

ruddynorah · 04/05/2007 18:46

that is a disabled parking badge with a pram on it fgs.

whatever happened to feed on demand? feed by disabled parking badge now?

Wasn't sure whether to post, but thought I'd put my side of the story

Well, the idea did come from parking disks (we have zone parking, here) and was when I was visiting a friend (who's also a mnetter!). She genuinely couldn't remember when her ds had last fed (sleep deprivation was just kicking in!)so I joked about using a disk to keep track of feeds.
The next day I took a customised card round, and a couple of days after that, she phoned to say how useful it was, and that even the HV said how great it was.
So, I had some Feed Wheels printed, and now have my own small business
The Feed Wheel has been recommended in Pregnancy and Birth, Practical Parenting, and the Sunday Express magazines, and is now sold in over 70 shops, all over the UK, and even Bahrain and the US.
I've had some lovely emails and letters from people who've bought them for themselves, for friends, or who have been given a Baby Feed Wheel as a 'congratulations' present.

Well done you, Betty! Like everything in life its horses for courses. It worked for your friend and it certainly worked financially for you! I bet a lot of nervous first time mums are very grateful for what you invented. Its been 11 years since I had a baby and I remember panicking that I had to remember what time I fed her. Had it been on the market then, I probably would have bought one!
