This morning I asked DH to starts DS's breakfast whilst I quickly threw some clothes on - I'd been up with DS twice in the night and got up with him at 5am this morning. 5 minutes later I come downstairs and DH is up and out the door muttering about how it was pointless as DS wasn't eating his breakfast anyway. I told him he needed to have more patience, to which he came back at me with... wait for it....

"I LET you get dressed didn't I!"

I was fuming... still am.

What is it with men?? They do normal everyday necessities and yet it's like they've done you a massive favour. I feel like checking into a hotel for a long spa weekend and making myself unavailable Grin

OMG you’re not alone.
I love my DH to bits and he’s a great dad to our 17 week old DS.. but I do think he expects a lot from me. He never gets up in the night anymore unless I ask him to (for which I get non stop grumbling and groaning), he’s happy to play with DS and change nappies but I do the majority of the work otherwise.
He made out the other day him getting DS dressed was ‘doing me a favour’ 🤔
Bloody men..

I feel the same. DH is generally good....but I feel he needs to be asked to do things for ds2 (9 week old). Say if I'm cooking dinner or doing homework with ds1 and ds2 needs feeding/nappy change or starts crying I ask him to sort it and he will. But I doubt he would proactively do much, if anything, with ds2 unless prompted. Very frustrating. I even catch myself saying "can you change his nappy for me?!" It's not for me though is it.....i annoy myself when I say that. Angry It will get better I'm sure. It did with ds1 when he was more interactive.Grin
