Mothers day with baby

It's my first mothers day this year and Dp has asked what I want to do. Trying to think of a nice thing to do out and about with 5 month old ds. Something enjoyable and a bit different but not too far/expensive etc. What did others do for their first mothers day?

I spent the day with my mother, ds and my siblings. We had nice nibbles and enjoyed each other’s company.

We usually just go out to lunch and I get to eat my lunch in peace (dh does all the running around with kids, settling baby, etc, things we’d otherwise share). I sit and eat uninterrupted and have a well earned glass of wine or two. Sometimes I take a nap too.

Yup card and small present, family lunch, family time so depending on weather maybe park or similar

Mine was the day before my birthday. I went to the cinema with my mum and sister, it was the first time I'd been away from DD which I found hard but enjoyed spending time with my mum.

Can’t even remember. Don’t think we did anything special. There are loads of mothers days to come when it will be easier to do things.
That said my daughter was only 2 weeks old on my first one so I was pretty happy not to do anything but even this year I think we’ll give it a miss; her birthday is the day after anyway.

My first one I was still in hospital post c section (day after) - so got a card on the ward and visits from relatives.
This year I'll be post-section again, hopefully being brought stuff whilst cuddling the kids on the sofa, and leaving entertaining in laws to dh.
