Snuzpod to cot

Our baby has finally out grown her snuzpod and we both feel it is time to move her into her cot in the nursery. She is nearly 8 months old. I'd have liked to have transferred her into the cot and kept her in our room for a couple of weeks but we just don't have the space. Any advice/experience would be gratefully received.

We thought about putting the snuzpod crib inside the cot but this seems silly as she wakes herself up as she constantly hits the sides now as she is too big....

Following as we're not far off this so tips will be handy!

I moved DD into her crib in own room from a snuzpod in ours at 4 months. I did it by using the crib for daytime naps when we were at home so she got used to it gradually. I used a sleepyhead style cushion at first and after a while she went down happily onto just the mattress. So you could try that if your baby isn’t too big for one?

It was so nice to see her sleep with her arms wide, as in the snuzpod they’d bash on the sides. Good luck Smile

I should say, I only ever used the cushion in the cot for daytime naps when I was frequently checking on DD. Never used it at night. When I say crib in her own room - I mean big cot! I didn’t know there was a difference until I had a baby!
