I have two bumhuggers and a red totsbots wrap arrived today, swaddlebees and bambineos/wambamboos also arrived 30 minutes ago. Hurray!!
However I have no idea when to use them. Now I know I ordered some for night time and some for day but can't remember which! Also the swaddlebees fold down which I can do but then how do you fasten them onto bub? I have biodegradable liners, do they go around the shaped nappy or around a booster pad?

Oh crap I think I've actually only got one wrap atm.

OK Sorky, the liners just lie in the nappy, on top of thr booster (some people wrap them round the booster but you don't have to), just make sure they are right inside the nappy as any part that sticks out will wick the moister away from the nappy and cause a leak.

Is it the organic velour swaddlebees? If so fold it down at the front, you would then need to fold the tabs or wings of the nappy back on them selves so you can line up the poppers (clear as mud? Gin)

The bumhuggers and bambineos are great for at night (though you may need to boost the bumhugger in the pocket).

Hope that helps

sorkycake · 02/05/2007 15:56

I've got the bumhugger and the red wrap on him now, but his bodygrow doesn't fasten and he looks like his bum is the size of mine. Super cute though!
They are the organic ones and no I still don't understand, but thanks very much for trying to explain Are the bambineo's supposed to tie so high up? I may have bought a size too large for him.
The bumhugger has a pocket????

Oh and I don't like poppers I've decided, velcro is much simpler to fasten.

Are they brand new? You'll need to wash them a few times (don't need to dry inbetween) to reach full absorbancy.

sorkycake · 02/05/2007 16:00

ah pants!

Yup, the velcro bambineos will look high on him at the moment.

pics here to shrink the swaddlebees

sorkycake · 02/05/2007 16:06

I've tried the swaddlebees again and I think the problem is the poppered booster. Does this mean I can't fold down and attach the booster?

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 02/05/2007 16:06

Just detatch the booster - it won't make a difference

sorkycake · 02/05/2007 16:10

FLAME!!! . Yes that made sense.
I love them, love them by the way!! I'm emailing you.

Waves back to sorky

Hm,. my instructions didn't mak sese because I thought you had the sized swaddlebees not the one size, oopps , made you even more confused!

snugglebumnappies · 02/05/2007 17:05

Have you found the pocket in the bumhugger BTW

My LO is fine aslong as I am carrying him round all the time, good job I have multiple slings (a new addiction to get me off the nappies!) to choose from, how are you doing?

sorkycake · 02/05/2007 17:36

LOL yes I've found it! Well I've got plenty more washing to do it seems. Do they tumble well, because I want them for tonight?
L is fine when carried and snuggled in, his favourite pastime. I have a coorie which he quite likes and I'm not looking at slings because I just haven't got the money to indulge!
The nappies have taken over!!

Hi Sorky, can we have un update, how did you get on with them

Ariela · 03/05/2007 13:39

I would suggest ask the company you bought them from for full instructions
Failing that download a booklet of instructions for all types of nappies

Flamesparrow · 03/05/2007 15:05

I will work on making the care leaflet more clear.

If I sort one for each style of nappy will that help?

sorkycake · 03/05/2007 17:42

Oh dear Flamesparrow I feel awful! I didn't intend anything by my questions. I really am a numpty, it's the 3rd baby you see. God help me when I venture back to work.
For the record Flame has been incredibly helpful and sorted any queries I've had, I've simply got a rubbish memory.
The nappies are fab, I can't believe the difference between these and Bambino Mio. It's like having a twin tub and then trying an automatic washer!!
They've all been drying on the line today, nice and sunny n windy, but the Bambineo's took ages to dry properly. So far my favourites are the swaddlebees and I can't wait for the woollypants, so excited.
Actually that's really quite sad to be this excited about nappies

Don't be silly!! Trying to work out the kinks in the system

snugglebumnappies · 03/05/2007 18:54

I think it's much more ecologically sound (as we are trying to be with the nappies as well as feeding our addiction ) to not send out reams of paper about all the nappies anyway! Sorky knew where to get hold of you! I only send out a general "how to care for your nappies" leaflet to new customers and people always know to get in touch if there are any probs

Flamesparrow · 03/05/2007 19:17

That's ok then - was wondering if I was getting it wrong... I send both invoice and care leaflet as an attachment so I don't send out any paper if I can help it.

shonaspurtle · 03/05/2007 19:46

Sorky, I've been folding down the front of the Bambineos and just using the velcro tabs on the side bits to secure (if that makes any sense).

Seems to be working really well and because the nappy is now snugger (is that a word?) it's catching poo a lot better!

If you're going to be buying more wraps, I've found that Motherease Rikki wraps work really well. Very leak proof and don't add bulk like the red wrap (though those big bums are cute!).

sorkycake · 04/05/2007 16:45

I've got some woollypants being knitted as we speak Shonaspurtle, but thanks for the recommendation. I'll try folding down the Bambineo's, we been using them today and I do like them.
I put a swaddlebees on him last night with an extra booster and he went through the night without being wet on his skin, I was thrilled!
Flame I've just found the invoice and care destructions you sent me in an email last week. In my defence I'm very tired
