7 month old routine

Hi all,

My dd is 7 months old, we are currentlyBLW, she was breastfed but is now fully bottle fed... she has always been an amazing sleeper and self settles in her cot at bedtime and naps with a dummy blanket and white noise.

Recently she has been waking up at 2am for a feed then again at 6/7, is this normal? All the baby classes I go to babies are sleeping all night, she has totally gotten out of it and was going to bed at 9 waking at 6

I'm not sure if this is to do with her routine, as she's currently having a morning nap usually 1/2hrs afternoon nap 1/2 hrs and then early evening 5ish nap for an hour or so, she goes to bed about 8:30/9:30.... the other thing I think this could be down to is the fact her bottles throughout the day are all made at 6oz but she will on average drink 3/4oz out of it but night/early bottles she will drink it all.

Food times are roughly: breakfast 8/9, lunch 12/1, dinner 6/7

Does her routine need adjusting and if so what to and what is the best way to do this?

I try and keep her up in the day/early evening but she gets cranky until she has a nap

Thank you x

my 7 month old still wakes every 2 hours.

Maybe if you can try and shift everything back a few hours?
DD also 7 months and we are also BLW and also trying to wean onto formula.
Generally up anywhere between 7-8 with a breastfeed. Breakfast roughly half hour after she wakes up, and then a hour nap when she's been awake about two hours so between 9-10. Breastfeed when she wakes up which hoping to change to formula soon. Lunch around one ish.
Nap for two hours at 2 after a milk feed.
Dinner at 5.30 ish... bath 6... bed between 7-7.30. Then generally she wakes up every 4 hours through the night until morning time!

My DD was still up for a feed at 7 months but since she started eating more she has night weaned.
At around 7 months we dropped the third nap and she goes to bed at 7.30 so maybe you could reduce the length of the third nap and bring bedtime forward.
Also what happens if you only give 4 oz at night? That was how my DD dropped her night feed as I slowly reduced what I was giving her and she started taking more in the day. If it upsets her and she won’t settle though I wouldn’t worry about reducing it.

Also I find it really surprising that their babies are sleeping all night as at 9 months I still only know a few whose babies are

Thank you for your tips... she is really good so I know I'm lucky that she sleeps as well as she does currently, it's more that I'm worried the routine isn't suitable for her

@user1493413286 I haven't tried reducing the feed down, as she's struggled with gaining weight from birth and has always been up and down on her centiles which is one of the reasons we switch to bottles as I was too worried she wasn't getting enough so I just give her the milk if she will take it

I think I'll try pulling bedtime forward a bit rather than the third nap... she did a lot better last night and more like her usual sleeps 9:30 - 5

Thank you for your advice!
