Sorry, melfi but I found them a really bad buy. I got most of my current cloth nappies when ds3 was about 6-7 months old. He's a skinny 2 year old now and the fuzzi bunz I bought at the time are still going strong but the elastic in the Wonderoos is long gone. I am useless at sewing so haven't replaced it so they are sitting at the bottom of my nappy stash to be used in emergencies only! Also I found them bulky. I bought another one since buying the original 2 and even though the elastic is fine, in the newer one the poppers seem to be of poor quality and don't "click" in properly.
If you like the idea of a birth-to-potty pocket nappy, so far I have found the Bumgenius much better but can't comment on longevity as I haven't had them that long.

I have to say that the new style (Hip Hip Bavy) ones are much better than the older ones. I have never had a problem with Wonderoos but I know many people have, the feedback I am grtting on the new ones is that they are much better and leak less

I am using some new hip hip baby ones and finding them quite good (not as good as Heinys but im a big fan, the insert that came with it didnt last long so i now dont get them with insert and use a green acre insert that seems to absorb better and make the nappy last longer. Not finding a prob with the snaps but i suppose time will tell. Being a birth to potty nappy if the fit is good which i am finding it is i think it represents good value.

Oh yes, forgot to say I never use the micro terry inserts as both my LOs pee for England have always used hemp inserts.

nappyzone · 02/05/2007 12:14

my lo pees to long and fast so the hemp doesnt absorb quick enough!! good for boosting under a microfibre though and i do sell alot as alot of people can get away with them or use as a booster! Snuggle what do you or anyone use on a night as a few people ask me about this but due to a few disasters and nappy rash issues i tend to use a disposable on a night

BumGenius 1 longevity is sh*te. I had 15 and I think nearly half of them are out of service because the leg elastic has gone or, in one case, the double-sided velcro tab has torn apart. I bought them last June and they'd started to "die" by December.

chipmonkey · 02/05/2007 12:40

do you think Bumgenius 2 are any better Soupy?

SoupDragon · 02/05/2007 12:57

No idea TBH. They don't look vastly different IMO.
